Two of the things I love most in this world are playing games and hosting parties. Games as in Scattergories, Bananagrams, Things, and my new fave: Telestrations. Parties as in all my friends come to my apartment, eat food, drink drinks, and play games. My apartment is only slightly larger than a shoebox but there is something so wonderful about decorating, making the food, and then having everyone over to enjoy it with me!
I always conveniently seem to forget the hour or so before the party where I am running around like a chicken with its head cut off, so I never seem to plan accordingly for the next time. This party was no different. 10:00 am rolls around and I realize I only have 2/3 of my food items prepared. Lucky for me these scones only take 30 minutes start to finish and boy, are they crowd pleasers!
This recipe came from my mom’s kitchen as many of the best have, and they are liiiiiiterally the easiest things in the world to make. I recommend making a big batch, tossing the extras in the freezer, and reheating them throughout the week & topping them with an egg.
